Chidimma Adetshina wins Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Pageant
Chidimma Adetshina has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, a title that comes with the responsibility of representing Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico. This victory is significant not only because it highlights her beauty and grace but also her resilience. Adetshina, who was born in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother, faced backlash during her participation in the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant due to her Nigerian heritage. Despite this, she triumphed in Nigeria, showcasing her determination and commitment to using her platform for positive change.
At the grand finale held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Adetshina was among 25 contestants who represented various states in Nigeria, each advocating for important social causes such as women’s empowerment and mental health.
